New MTMT Software Version (2.2.19)

On June 18, 2025, version 2.2.19 of the MTMT2 software was launched.

This version introduced changes in the following areas:

• Changes in publication statuses and record locking
• More actions can now be performed on protected (previously locked) records via the „Actions” and „Authors” menu options
• Separation of new records: publications vs. citations, with improved support for adding and searching publications using identifiers
• Introduction and display of the Norwegian list-based evaluation
• Discontinuation of the M1 affiliation field, replaced by a special institutional affiliation field (for editorial, publisher records, or for marking entries in the Bibliography of Academy Members)

Key Changes Affecting Authors Specifically:

• New option to indicate domestic or international collaboration
   
• New Quick Menu: „Common Operations”. This serves as a guide for tasks that may need to be completed, helping users find functions more easily. It is particularly useful for beginners or less experienced users.

Important for Authors:

• A publication cannot be made public without author assignment — it can only be saved. Therefore, the author must assign themselves to the publication using their author name to publish it.

  You can verify successful assignment by checking if your name appears twice on the publication: once in regular font, once in bold.
   
• Authors can no longer assign institutions themselves — this is now the task of the institutional administrators. Each institutional admin can only assign affiliations for the institutions they manage.
