WEBAPP
The application is mainly optimized for mobile (Android and iOS devices), but can be used on computer browsers as well.
The WebApp is an online application of ELTE University Library Service, whose primary function is to replace the paper-based library card, but it has other functions too:
- gives information about your library membership and its validity date
- you can extend your library membership through the app, or you can sign up for it
- can be used as library card when borrowing books
- informs you about your books on loan and their loan time can be extended via the app
- notifies you when a requested book arrives from storage
- provides access through the entry gate (if the library has one)
Online enrollment
- If you haven’t been a library member in any ELTE libraries before – thus do not have a library card – you have to register via the WebApp. After registration you can immediately log in, and access your digital library card
- You can start the process of signing up for membership in a chosen library under “my memberships”. The library’s staff will process your sign-up request within one workday. Please always get informed beforehand which libraries’ membership you are entitled to, and under what conditions.
If you have been a library member before, you do not need to register, you can immediately log into the application. If your membership is valid, you may request its extension two weeks before the expiration date via the “my memberships” menu item.
