Online request
ONLINE REQUEST
In our libraries, it is possible to request and prepare the documents you wish to borrow or use electronically, online.
You can send your request to most libraries by email OR, in some libraries, using an "electronic request form".
SEND REQUEST VIA EMAIL
Most libraries accept requests at the email address they provide.
When making a request, please be sure to provide the following information:
- Name of the requester
- Number of student card/library card
- The requested document’s author/editor, title
- Warehouse mark
- Inventory number
- Planned date of receipt
- Other notes of importance
We ask that you inform yourself in any case whether you are entitled to borrow from the library's collection.
Please wait for the library's response in any case.
SEND REQUEST VIA ELECTRONIC REQUEST FORM
In some of our libraries, it is already possible to use an "electronic request form".
The request can be started via WebApp or directly after entering the ELTEFind online catalog.
- Log into the online catalog
- Find the wanted document
- Check the holdings (if its available to loan). If it is a multipart item, make sure to check in the ‘related items’ part, by clicking on the links.
- Click on ‘Place a Hold’ under ‘Status’
- In the newly opened form go to the bottom and click on ‘Submit Request’
The library will inform you of the document’s preparation and the possible date of receipt.
If the reader’s membership expired or has reached the maximum number of books, they cannot start a new request. In this case they will receive a message about it.
The reservation period is the length of time the document is reserved for the client. If the document is for loan, it’s reserved for 2 days, if it’s for on site use, the reservation lasts for 10 workdays.
