The Central Reading Room is open again

The Central Reading Room is fully open again with all its services!
Unfortunately, the Central Reading Room had to be closed for the past four weeks due to urgent renovations, during which time it was only possible to borrow books. Although the library area has become smaller during the renovation, its service level has not decreased.
ONLINE REGISTARTION
You can still:
- borrow books
- use library documents in house (books, magazines, dictionaries, etc.)
- study, research, read, write, relax individually or in groups
- freely use the library computers, from which you can also access ELTE-subscribed databases
- freely use the wifi, through which you can also access ELTE-subscribed databases from your own device
- ask librarians for information
New features:
- more sockets
- new space arrangement based on reader demand
- detachable shelf: you can use the items on the detachable shelf in the library (puzzles, coloring books)
In progress:
- For now, you can still see many empty shelves in the reading room (regardless of the renovation). The entire reading room, with its thousands of books, is being repackaged and relabeled, due to the new lending system that is being prepared.
But in the meantime, everything can be searched and requested based on the online catalog: opac.elte.hu
If you have any questions, ask the librarians!

We would like to express our appreciation to our librarian colleagues who, in a short time, made it possible to change the function of the converted spaces by repacking more than ten thousand books, magazines and numerous pieces of furniture.
We would also like to thank the students of the ELTE BTK Library and Information Science Institute for their help in moving the books.
